August A2Z Scraplets New Releases Part 2

*If you are here for my giveaway click here-ONLY 1 MORE WEEK*

*WE HAVE REACHED 100 FOLLOWERS SO MORE PRIZES HAVE BEEN ADDED*

Hi everybody!!! I am back to share the 2nd half of my layouts for the A2Z Scraplets August Release. Don't forget you can view the new releases on the A2Z Website here plus you can view all of the amazing DT creations with the new releases on the blog here

First up is a fabulous layout titled Daily Routine, using the awesome new Butterfly Shape from A2Z Scraplets.

The fabulous papers I have used for this layout are from the My Minds Eye Bright Side of Life Collection

The fabulous chevron patterned paper has been fussy cut to show off the awesome zig zags better plus I trimmed some arrows from a similar paper from the same collection but red.

The fabulous Chipboard butterfly was coated with a thin layer of Platinum Liquid Pearls and I have then added a Rubon over the top. I have a few of these old Background Rubons in my stash but not sure if they are still around. I do think they are fabulous for covering chipboards but! The last touch was some rough inking using Archival Ink and then topped off with a Charms Creations Lollipop.

My next project is actually a canvas. Some of you may remember that I have been making canvases (whenever there is time) to hang on my scraproom wall to help inspire myself and others who come here to create in my space. Each canvas I choose things that inspire me creatively or in other ways and I just go to town creating and having fun and going with my mood. Love is, of course, one of my biggest inspirations and I instantly wanted to create a canvas when I saw this new Chipboard Title.

First off I coated my canvas in a layer of PVA glue and started to add some A2Z Chipboard Hearts as well as some spiralled twine.

Once all the twine & chipboard was in place, I have added some more PVA glue and layered some white tissue paper over the top. I tried to move it around a bit to create lots of creases and folds for more texture before it dried.

Once the tissue paper was dry, I could start to add colour. I chose to use my Dylusions Ink Sprays and started spraying randomly to get a pattern of colours that I liked. I then dabbed with paper towel and dried between layers of more added colour until I got the intensity I liked.

When my colour was making me feel happy, I dried for the final time and got out my archival ink pad and just rubbed it over the entire canvas. The black ink highlighted random raised areas and I kept going until I could see the amount of texture clearly that I was wanting.

The next step was to add some embossing ink and to do this I just rubbed the ink pad over the entire surface randomly as I did with the archival ink. I then sprinkled some WOW Ultra High Gold Rich Embossing Powder over and heated to watch the magic begin. Of course some areas had the powder adhere better than others so I repeated the process very lightly until there was enough thick shiny gold on the canvas.

The final step was to decorate my title chipboard using some Archival Ink and WOW Ultra High Gold Rich Embossing Powder. I also stamped over the top of the title with a script type stamp from my stash. A couple of fabulous Charms from Handmade Halo and voila! A fabulous canvas that brightens my spirit every time I glance at it.

Next up is a layout using the fabulous new title Dream like there is no tomorrow.

For this layout I decided to use a pic of my gorgeous girl that almost shows her in her dreamy mood she gets in. She is such a dreamer with the most amazing imagination and her creativity inspires me regularly. I don't ever want her to forget to Dream.

The papers I have used for this layout are from the My Minds Eye Collection Miss Caroline and I just the strips/banners I have created here.

Lots of fussy cut butterflies that have been sewn on and all the edges have been sanded back using an emery board.

The last layout I have to share today is of my beautiful girl using the new A2Z Scraplets title Pretty In Pink. I truly adore these photos of Mia in her pink outfit on Christmas Day 2010.

I have used a relatively older collection papers for this layout, Chloe Collection from 3 Bugs in a Rug.

The fabulous Chipboard title has been decorated using different Liquid Pearls and some patterned paper stuck behind the stenciled section.

Lots of fussy cutting, ripping and sanding on this layout and I just love that doily details sticking out here and there. I also dropped some White Mister Hueys Spray on the background.

Well that is it from me for now, don't forget to leave me a comment and let me know your favourites.

Until next time...happy scrapping!

August A2Z New Releases Part 1

*If you are here for my giveaway click here-ONLY 1 MORE WEEK*

*WE HAVE REACHED 100 FOLLOWERS SO MORE PRIZES HAVE BEEN ADDED*

Hi everybody? I hope you are all well. We have a beautiful sun shiny day for a change here on the Central Coast of NSW Australia. Spring is definately starting to show her face and I am ever so thankful as I am sick of the flu season this year. This morning I am off to the Book Week Parade at Mia's school which is very exciting and I am about to pack up my camera and lenses ready to go but for now I wanted to share a few of my layouts that I created for the August Chipboard Release over at A2Z Scraplets. Oh my there is some amazing chippy goodness released this month and I had the chance to play with 8 pieces from the new range.  For now I will share 4 out of the 8 and I shall be back tomorrow with the rest...

You can view all the new releases on the A2Z Website here as well as the other fabulous DT creations on the A2Z Blog here

This first layout is using the new Doodlet Butterfly Chipboard and I have used the Scrap Cake Bright Side of Life Collection Papers.

Lots of yummy details on this one including some beautiful Manor House Creation Flowers.

I just love banners at the moment. I always have but I love how big of a trend they are right now.

The chipboard butterfly was decorated using some Gesso randomly and then sprayed with Pink Lindys Stamp Gang Stain Spray.

This next layout is created using the new Just Me Title from A2Z plus I have also used cut up pieces from the Chicken Wire which is also available from A2Z.

The papers I have used for this layout are from the 7 Dots Studio Wonderland & Dreamer Collections.

Lots of yummy colour on this one that was created using  Dylusions Ink Sprays, Perfect Pearls Sprays, Black Cracle Paint & some Glimmer Glaze.

Love all my descriptive word using the good ole Dymo Labeller.

Can you see the little crown on top of my head? LOL of course this is an Antique Brass Charm from Handmade Halo.

Next up is a layout using another fabulous new title, Her Smile Says it all. Chloe has this silly smile she does regularly so to document it in a layout was a must LOL

I have used the fabulous Teresa Collins Sweet Afternoon Collection for this layout along with lots of machine stitching.

The beautiful chipboard was simply coated with some Diamond Stickles.

Loved the die cut elements from this collection and used the flags a little differently.

My last share for today is using yet another fabulous new A2Z Scraplets title, Imagine. For this layout I wanted to extend the title using various alpha stickers. The full title, I cannot imagine life with you two is exactly what this photo says to me.

The papers for this layout are from the Scrap Cake Collection One Moment in Time and these are available from Handmade Halo.

I recently bought some fabulous bauble stems from a local feather shop and I just cut some pieces off to use around my Prima Vine here.

The chipboard word was sprayed with some Dylusions Ink Spray as well as some Perfect Pearl Mists. I then added some Thickers and Prima ABC stickers to finish the rest of the title work. The beautiful doily underneath was a bargain op shop find!

Well that is it from me for now, I better run out the door but I hope I have inspired your crafty endeavors for the day!

Until next time...happy scrapping!

The Color Room #124 + Handmade by Suzanne Aug

*If you are here for my giveaway click here*

*WE HAVE REACHED 100 FOLLOWERS SO MORE PRIZES HAVE BEEN ADDED*

Hi everyone, I have another layout to share with you all, see I told you I would make up for not blogging for a whole week LOL. The layout I have to share this time was created using the Color Room Palette #124 as well as the Sketch from the Handmade by Suzanne August Sketch Challenge.

Here is the Color Room Palette...

...and here is the fabulous sketch over at Handmade by Suzanne this month...

....and here is my take on the colour palette and the sketch...

I have used the Kaisercraft Blae & Ivy Collection for this layout including papers & Stickers. I also used a lot of mediums to alter the papers a lot so they are almost unrecognisable now LOL.

The background has an amazing texture and an array of colours from brown to copper to blue and green as well as ivory paint masking and splatters.

Lots of yummy details including this altered Charms Creations Page Runner

I just love these Prima Canvas Banners they are so fun to alter. I have used so many layers of greens including Glimmer Mists, Lindys Stamp Gang Starburst Stain Sprays, Glimmer Glam & Perfect Pearls Sprays.

Not 100% one of my fave layouts ever but happy with the outcome as I wanted it to be more earthy and of course the colours are not my usual thing hehe.

Thanks so much for looking and until next time...happy scrapping!

CSI Case File #32

*If you are here for my giveaway click here*

*WE HAVE REACHED 100 FOLLOWERS SO MORE PRIZES HAVE BEEN ADDED*

Hi everybody, I hope you are all well. Today I have a fabulously textured layout to share with you all for CSI Case File No 32. Here was the Case File Details.....

...and here is my take on the challenge. I have used papers from the July Cést Magnifique Kit which are all Maja Design and simply breathtaking!

The fabulous netting is just an old onion bag that I have coated with Gesso but I think I should try White Spray Paint next time as some of the colour is still showing through.

The chipboard elements, including the crab and title, are both of course from A2Z Scraplets and have been given a very shabby look using Crackle Paints, Gesso, Lindys Stamp Gang Starburst Stain Sprays and Acrylic Paints. There is also a gorgeous Chipboard Signpost with the name "Little Beach" (the location of the photo) and this has been painted with various Magical Micas from Lindys Stamp Gang as well as some Gesso.

Lots of yummy flowers used including Manor House Creations, Prima Marketing & Handmade Halo plus there are some gorgeous Antique Brass Charms peaking out from the cluster. The charms have had a rough dry brush coating of Gesso to lighten them a little and highlight their details more.

Some old book paper layers that were ripped and curled are just peaking out as well as a dimensional "Here Comes the Sun" Sticker from My Minds Eye Follow Your Heart Collection which actually pulls out to show some journalling about the day at the beach. Over the top is a fabulous Heidi Swapp Flag alongside another Handmade Halo charm and some Prima goodies including the Romance Novel Chipboard Hot Air Balloon and the fabulous Typo Bulb. I am in love with the new Prima releases!

The top corner and right side has some pretty little Studio Calico Clouds and Birds added and the stictching at the top corner is a definate earthy feature that I think goes so well with the layout.

And lastly is a quick close up of the beautiful photo of my girls exploring for treasure. This photo is just so beautiful and we just love this beach because it is generally very deserted because there is a very long hike through the bush to get to the little cove. Our little Oasis at Little Beach and of course the kids call it "their" beach! LOL

So all up I used wet medium, transparent object, burlap, mesh and even have softened edges to my papers for the Evidence. The testimony is that I journalled about a day at the beach.

Thanks so much for looking and until next time...happy scrapping!
